And what a Tuesday it is

Today is a good day. I don't think I have the right words to express my thoughts and emotions about this inauguration, so I'm giving you a link to a lighter-hearted celebration instead. Perhaps we could take as read my sense of heartfelt hope, and the tremendous awe I feel at having lived to see this day.

Congratulations, Mr. President.

It is just a day that brings hope, and joy and at least for a moment, some peace.

I watched the inauguration with about a dozen girls in the dorm (not all US citizens). When the dignitaries were coming in, one child asked "who's that?" It was Jimmy Carter. "Oh well," she said," they all look the same." Until today, honey --until today!

I've had tears today. I was overjoyed when he won the election but today, today was something.

That was the best part of the day. (The rest was kid/school troubles. *sigh*)
