OK, OK

I'll be brave. Here are the shots of the kimono with an actual body (my actual body, to be exact) inside of it. (Much better than pale green pants with nobody inside 'em, for sure.)

See what I mean? It's a kimono. And oh so comfy.

It looks oh so comfy like you're wrapped in a blankie!

Looks Lovely! I really like how the trim works.

And so much more fashionable than a blanket, though I see people wrapped up in fleece blankets on the way into school in the mornings. Of course, they're kids in elementary school...

Just in time for warm weather!

Oh, that is beautiful. And the style is fantastic. I bet it goes with everything -- one of those dress-it-up or dress-it-down sort of pieces.

I really love this kimono. It's not the absolutely-most-flattering-thing-you-could-ever-wear, but do all of our clothes really need to be flattering? (One quick look at my closet will tell you that my answer is a resounding no!) I think you look great in it. Being able to live in your clothes is just as important as achieving high fashion, and that definitely looks like something you could live in.

If you did want to dress it up a bit, I bet you could work the closure a little differently to bring it in, too (the joys of having a pin closure!). If you overlapped the front a little higher up and tied it off at the sides instead of in the middle, it would pull the two halves tighter around your waist and might give it some extra shape, though I really like it as-is. Congratulations! =)

See, I think it looks really good in a fun, vaguely eccentric, "I am a woman who wears scarves and is ever so world traveled" kind of way.

I would agree that it's not actively flattering, but I don't think the style is actively flattering on anybody. The important thing is that it's certainly not UNflattering in any way.

It is Fabulous, with a capital F.

It turned out beautifully and i love love love the color. It looks fine on you. And it seems like it will be wearable for a long time. BTW, it was minus 15 here this am.

It's gorgeous, and you obviously love it. I see no problems :-)

Of course, I have an unnatural fondness for a giant blue acrylic sweater that would fit 3 of me . . .

Enjoy your beautiful kimono. The homespun is a great trim.

not sure why you think it doesn't look good.....it looks very relaxed. it's not a fitted look, but the looseness looks like a kimono and i think it suits you. the color looks great, and it definitely looks cozy!

Ooh, wow! That's gorgeous. I love the way the trim color outlines the shape of the sweater. Beautifully done!

Now that's a style I'd wear, probably to death. I'm not much for wearing a shawl for warmth but that kimono, um-ummm!
