ooh, that is going to be gorgeous, and as if sleeves weren't big enough to knit at the best of times! My youngest son is the same, arms and legs that go on forever
Ooh, ooh! Love the colors, and can't wait to see what you do with the design. I've just spun Branden a sweater; I promise it does end, and it helps if you spin a little on the chunky side. Really, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. =)
Heh, the Gladys Thompson book is the one used for the blue gansey I just made...looking forward to seeing yours- I'm sure it will different but gorgeous!

And yeah, I made my husband an Aran once with an 86" wingspan. He'd always wanted to own a sweater he could fold the cuffs up on, it seemed the most unattainable luxury to him, and now he's got one. Fits perfectly. (Haven't asked our older son, at 6'9+" an inch taller than his daddy, if he wants one too. Yet.)

Good luck with the knitting for Eagle Man!
You are a brave woman!

The very definition of true love...
You are more ambitious than me! Good luck!
haha! Yeah, good luck, woman. He's a lucky husband. I've seen those condors, and I wouldn't have the courage to take on that wingspan. :)
I know that wingspan feeling. But you have to spin it too! You're brave!
I am chuckling out loud as I type. Perfectly captured the scale of the project - and the joy with which it will be executed!
I love it. Great post!!!! A picture is really worth a thousand words.
Fun! Happy Planning. Will he participate?
